Boys Don't Cry by ~wwhale:iconwwhale:

From your tear ducts, an
abseiling spiderling, the
strong new limb,
deep abdomen braiding
from frozen lake to
squalid witness.

I can’t help losing
spiderwebs,
leaking my weakness
and the slow warmth
that leaves us,

alone,
watching our
memories thaw
and rush outward.

Your eyes are marked with
light dew and deep,
studding fissures.
I know there is nothing
left to say as we lay
our timid marrow
to rest,
too exhumed to
make the shapes of
words. Just, eyes,
tight arms, moving lines,
holding and
webbing ourselves
until we are clean
and empty.

After the dark,
channeling spider rain
punctuates your
shadowy cheeks,
I just want you to be pure.

Boys don’t cry,
they weep, weep, weep.
